The article explores the problem of the role of the state in the Russian economy. Critically examined widely distributed, including in government circles, assessment of the state's share in GDP in the amount of 70% and based on this conclusion that the state is the main brake on competition and development. It is proposed to move from a quantitative assessment of the role of the state to qualitative characteristics on the basis of economic and social efficiency. Special attention is paid to determining the state's share according to the criterion of ownership of the secondary assets. Justified by the criterion of the share of capital and labour in the determination of the share of state participation of GDP. One of the main conclusions consists in the substantiation of the transition from quantitative evaluation of the role of the state to quality characteristics on the basis of economic and social efficiency.

The concept of economic regionalization, developed by an outstanding Russian scientist, a representative of organizational production school, Professor A. N. Tchelintsev, based on the original theory of agricultural evolution, has great potential for modern peruzal. In conditions when rises the importance of import substitution and food security, the approach of Tchelintsev allows us to formulate the most accurate regional economic policy objectives and to get the most out of the productive forces of economic region. The article elaborates on the ideas of Tchelintsev and show their practical potential.

The article discusses the concept of freedom, studied factors that affect the freedom of entrepreneurship in Russia. Common to all of the factors is that they are inextricably linked with the state. Also proposes measures to increase the degree of freedom for Russian businessmen, among them - the changes in legislation, increased openness of the economy and the fight against bureaucracy.

This article attempts to answer several key questions, allowing to define the role and location of domestic labor in the history of national economy: “How to create a category of labor?”, “What are the qualitative characteristics identified differentiation labor?”, “How did the economic activity of people at different stages of development of society?”, “What determinants contributed to the formation of conditions for the genesis of domestic labor?” and “What location was occupied domestic labor in the system of socio-economic organization?” It presents two stages: "ancient time" and "antiquity". Each stage is considered separately, with identification of the main socio-economic processes. This article considers the main evidence and factors that identify the domestic labor of that time, based on the production function of labor.

This article is a logical continuation of the work - "The role and location of domestic labor in the history of national economy: from the Paleolithic to the Antiquity", where the author attempted to answer the key question of the research: "What factors make it possible to identify domestic labor in terms of production function and to single out it as Special segment, in the system of socio-economic organization? ". Taking into account the results obtained earlier, in this work, three time steps were presented: "the Middle Ages", "New Time" and "Modern Times". Each stage is considered separately, with identification of the main socio-economic processes. Along with this, the author continued to analyze the question posed, to determine the role and location of domestic labor in the history of the development of society.

The article presents a review of an international scientific conference "Ethnonational Consciousness and Economic Behaviour" which took place on June 16, 2016 on Faculty of economics, MSU. The authors show the influence of an ethnonational factor on distinctions in formation of public consciousness and economic behavior in history and the value of ethnonational identity in formation of economy of the country.
